The Idea of chartering an Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., in the Stockbridge service area was contributed to the rapid growth of Afro-Americans into the are. It was obvious that an Afro-American Greek Letter Organization was needed to meet the needs of the growing population in North Henry County. On April 12, 2003, a chartering program was held in Stockbridge at Sidney’s restaurant. Brother Leaks presented the Stockbridge-Jonesboro Alumni Chapter with its official charter. also in attendance was Brother Spencer Bruce from International Headquarters. On Aprol 12, 2003, the Stockbridge-Jonesboro Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The dream has now become a reality.
